TRANSFORMATION
This installation is the reflection of the human being as spirit, soul, and body whose capacities unfold in three developmental stages. Sitting present, full of imagination and joyous, the child is free of Reflective and self-aware, demanding to move in the next phase she is guided by the day star into the atmosphere of shifting disequilibrium and uncertainty. As the body becomes disrupted and transformed with adolescence, the last child begins to spread her wings, take influence from outside forces with extreme internal expansiveness and deeper thought she enters adulthood with the stars above and the earth’s depths below.
For decades, science popularizers have said humans are made of Stardust, and now, a new survey of 150,000 stars shows just how true the old cliché is: Humans and their galaxy have about 97 percent of the same kind of atoms, and the elements of life appear to be more prevalent toward the galaxy's center, the research found.
